This lot consists of two whips of varying styles. The first is a traditional bullwhip featuring a short, leather-wrapped handle terminating in a braided leather knot and a long thong of multi-strand braided leather. The second is a stock-style whip comprising a long, green-stained wooden handle with a braided leather thong attached by a leather keeper. Both pieces are constructed from two-tone brown and tan leather in a multi-plait braid. A modern inventory tag bearing a barcode and the printed number 199 is attached to the handle of the bullwhip. No manufacturer marks, brand names, or patent stamps are present on either item.
