Gustav Becker Brass Ormolu Wall Clock

Description

19th-century German timepiece by Gustav Becker features a cast brass gilt ormolu surface executed in a Rococo style. The ornate design includes a grotesque lion's mask at the base, a cherub face at the top, and intricate floral motifs and scrollwork surrounding a Roman numeral dial. The maker's mark is present on the interior. The clock measures approximately 16 3/4 in. H x 11 in. W x 3 1/2 in. D and exhibits minimal spotting to the metal. It is offered as untested. Loss to interior connection to pendulum. Absent key.
