This early 20th-century folk art hygrometer is constructed from wood and tin with polychromed wood figures. Designed to function by having the figures rotate out of the house to indicate weather conditions, it demonstrates carefully crafted artistry. It measures approximately 13 1/2 in. H x 9 in. W x 7 1/2 in. D. The piece is currently untested and exhibits some wear with missing components.
