Description
This etching on white paper is by the British artist Robert Tilleard (1949), who studied stone lithography in France and later taught etching at the Cranborne Chase School in Wiltshire. His work is included in the collection of the National Gallery of Art. The print depicts the backside of a sheep lying down and looking away from the viewer; it features a visible plate mark and is signed "Robert Tilleard" on the bottom right. Titled Charlie, it is numbered 32/50 from a limited edition. The piece is housed in a dark wood frame, measures approximately 31 1/8 in. H x 24 3/4 in. W, and is in good condition with light wear to the frame.
