Pottery vessels from the renowned country-style craft studio in Tryon, North Carolina, established in 1973 by Claude and Elaine Graves, includes a rooster-motif bowl and a covered butter dish. Butter dish is finished in a creamy speckled glaze with applied sponge decoration characteristic of the makers folk art tradition. The butter dish measures approximately 3 1/2 in. H x 6 3/4 in. W x 3 3/4 in. D, and in good condition.
