This etching by pioneering 19th-century Scottish-American artist Mary Nimmo Moran (1842–1899) is dated 1886 and depicts a windmill in a scenic European landscape with beautiful tonal variations. Housed in an impressive black-painted wood frame measuring approximately 28 7/8 in. H x 37 1/2 in. W x 5/8 in. D, the piece displays toning throughout consistent with its age.
