Patricia Zinsmeister Parker's artistic journey began at age 12 with a scholarship to the Cleveland Institute of Art's Gifted Children's Program. She went on to earn a B.F.A., M.A., and M.F.A. from Kent State University, where she gained recognition in the Cleveland Museum of Art's prestigious May Show-winning Best in Show (Painting) in 1982, one of only five women to do so in the show's 85-year history.

In addition to exhibiting widely across Ohio and New York, Patricia's work is held in major corporate and institutional collections, including The Cleveland Museum of Art, The Butler Institute of American Art, the Akron Art Museum, The Cleveland Clinic, and University Hospitals. She taught Two-Dimensional Design and Color Theory at The University of Akron for 23 years, and in 2003 was named "Woman of the Year" by the Ohio Senate for her contributions to the arts.
