The large and antique Japanese floor screen or room divider has 4 arched panels with intricately carved wooden frames. Each panel has black silk interiors with gold tone silk embroidered needlework flowers and heron birds. The backs of the panels are lined with paper. Each panel measures 68" tall, and 23 3/4" wide. The panels were once connected with fabric straps, which were strung through 3 pair of 4-hole groups on the sides. The panels are no longer connected, and there are many tears on the silk and paper.
