Manner of Giovanni Offredi (Italian, 1927-2007), late 20th century. Cream leather bed frame and Pozzoli Srl manufacturer's imprint to metal frame and label affixed to beach support slats.

Other notes: Sanford and Barbara Orkin were prominent Atlanta philanthropists, collectors, and longtime patrons of the arts. Following his service during the Korean War, Sanford joined his family's pest control business, eventually serving as president of Orkin Pest Control until its sale to Rollins, Inc. in 1964. Together, Sanford and Barbara assembled a wide-ranging collection of fine art, art glass, sculpture, and decorative arts. The Orkins were devoted supporters of education, healthcare, the arts, and Atlanta's Jewish community, with a particularly longstanding commitment to the University of Georgia, their shared alma mater. Their philanthropy at UGA supported scholarships, academic programs, medical and scientific research, athletics, and the arts. Their legacy at the University includes Sanford and Barbara Orkin Hall at the Terry College of Business and the Sanford and Barbara Orkin Gallery at the Georgia Museum of Art. Their collection reflects a lifelong engagement with the arts and a personal and discerning approach to collecting.
