The barrel appears to not be original and is made by rb rodda and co in the 19th century in birmingham, al. This barrel has a very good bore that is bright and shiny with minimal debris. It is approximately 30 3/4 inches in length. The action appears to function properly and the firing pin has a captive protective coupling ring to prevent dry-firing. The finish is in very good condition but the barrel is significantly deeper blued than some parts of the action. The side plate is in the white. The stock is in very good condition with a handful or small scratches scattered throughout. The butt-plate has an 'nz' mark above a broad arrow likely indicating a new zealand contract.
