Description
This SNY Civil War buckle is polished brass, lead-filled belt buckle representing the state of New York from the Civil War era. It measures about 3½" x 2¼" and weighs slightly over 4 ounces, with a front face bearing the raised letters “SNY” and a rear with one-pointed hook and two arrowhead hooks for belt attachment. These buckles were used by Union Soldiers and are valued for their historical significance and distinctive design.
