In this lot are three plaques that have naval connotations. They are constructed of a wooden back with metal centers with unique designs. The first is for the U.S.S Saipan a Tarawa class LHA amphibious assault ship. The second is for the U.S.S. America, the first ship of its class for new LHA ships. The last of the plaques is for Destroyer Squadron 25 a long serving squadron which traces its roots back to WWII and played a notable role during operations during Iwo Jima and Okinawa. The three plaques are in very good condition with a few scratches on the wood. Bidders are welcome to preview items in person during our normal operating hours Tuesday through Saturday 11am-6pm.
