The pear-shaped porcelain vase is covered overall in a mottled, lustrous red glaze and rises from a short foot to a broad rounded body and tall cylindrical neck. The recessed base is glazed white and bears a blue six-character seal mark of Daoguang; the footrim shows firing discoloration and wear.
