The group features a white ceramic vessel with an 18th-century relief scene, hand-marked on the base Dorothy Knight (photo 4). A Japanese cylindrical advertising lighter bears the John Player Special brand and is marked on the base MINI DRUM and MADE IN JAPAN (photo 6). A fluted urn lighter with a gold-toned finish has an ignition mechanism stamped JAPAN (photo 8). An American silver-toned cylindrical lighter is embossed with STREAM, VARIOUS PAT. PEND., and MADE IN U.S.A. (photo 10). An American cylindrical lighter with a variegated patina is marked on the base Kreisler and U.S. PATS. PENDING (photo 12).
