The piece features a two-part construction, where the character's head and a large sombrero-style hat form the removable lid. The jar is finished with a textured brown wash over a white clay body, accented with hand-painted cold paint details in red, black, and gold. The interior is finished with a glossy white glaze. The flat underside of the base is covered in a solid gold-toned paint and is unmarked, showing no visible manufacturer names or stamps.

The item is in fair vintage condition. Significant flaking and loss to the original cold paint is visible on the face, star, and hat. Several small chips are present on the hat brim and crown (photo 8). Fine crazing is present throughout the interior glaze. Shelf wear and paint loss are evident on the bottom rim. No structural cracks or repairs were observed.
