This vintage (1950's) California pottery planter features a hand-painted pixie or sprite figure seated upon a log with leaf accents. The piece is finished in a glossy green glaze with a matte, unglazed bisque face and ears. A gold foil label on the underside depicts an open treasure chest and reads Treasure Craft, SOUTH GATE CALIFORNIA, ORIGINALS with a copyright symbol.

A small chip is visible at the tip of the elf's pointed hat and another small chip is present on one of the leaf tips behind the figure. The unglazed bisque face displays minor surface scuffing and light soiling.
