Founded by Valentino Garavani, Valentino has long been defined by the stories behind its most iconic color, red. "Valentino Red" was born when a young Garavani, sitting in an opera house in Barcelona, became captivated by a woman in a red velvet gown, an image so striking it shaped his entire design philosophy. Decades later, white took on special meaning after Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis wore a Valentino gown for her 1968 wedding, inspiring an entire collection dedicated to her.
Jackie's support and friendship helped introduce Valentino to a global audience, and her timeless style became closely linked with the brand. Together, these inspirations shaped a fashion house known for romance, elegance, and an enduring dedication to couture craftsmanship.
