Demarest Boneshaker velocipede. Made by the A.T. Demarest Co. in New York City, USA in 1869. The front wheel is unusually large with a diameter of 42". This large wheel is made like a buggy wheel with wood hub and spokes with an iron hoop fit tightly around the wood hoop that is around the spoke ends that project outwards from the wood hub.
