This WWII German MG13 Blank Firing Adapter (BFA) or Platzpatronengerat is a specialized muzzle device that attaches directly onto the barrel of the MG13 light machine gun. It functions by restricting the escape of propellent gasses when firing blank ammunition, maintaining enough back pressure to cycle the short-recoil operating system. This piece specifically is in very good condition showing a like-new surface with minimal signs of wear. All threaded areas of the BFA are undamaged and maintain the factory finish. This BFA is complete showing all its main components needed to regulate the gasses as well as having the two locking nuts on the end for fine adjustments.
