This 19th-century miniature portrait is executed on traditional porcelain, finely detailed with exquisite hand-painted work after the renowned neoclassical master Joseph Karl Stieler (1781–1858). The portrait depicts Lady Jane Erskine and bears a signature of the master artist. It is housed in an ornate bone-style frame enhanced by a delicate inner gilt liner. The framed miniature measures approximately 5 1/2 in. H x 4 3/4 in. W x 3/8 in. D. It is in good condition.
