Exceptional folk art pottery pitcher is the collaborative work of renowned master potters Michael and Melvin Crocker of Lula, Georgia, celebrated keepers of traditional Southern alkaline-glazed stoneware traditions. The substantial vessel is richly embellished with a dimensional, applied barn and rural landscape motif standing out in high relief against the body. The piece is finished in a signature rich, glossy runny green alkaline glaze. The pitcher measures approximately 9 3/4 in. H x 7 1/4 in. in diameter, features a sturdy applied handle, and is hand-signed by the artists on the base and side. It is in good condition.
