This framed display features two historical illustrated envelopes dating from October and December of 1940. One envelope, addressed to Statesville, North Carolina, displays an illustration of an African American man sitting on a wooden fence with a turkey; the second, addressed to Hickory, North Carolina, showcases an illustration of an African American man in a blue jacket and yellow shirt playing the violin. The items are neatly housed together in a wood frame measuring approximately 12 1/8 in. H x 10 1/4 in. W. Good condition with age-appropriate wear.
