A US silver dollar dated 1923. This Peace dollar type was struck at the Philadelphia mint, indicated by the absence of a mint mark on the reverse. The coin is composed of 90 percent silver and 10 percent copper. The obverse face is struck with readable inscriptions reading LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRVST, and the date 1923. The reverse face is struck with readable inscriptions reading UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, ONE DOLLAR, and PEACE at the base.
Weight: 0.863 ozt. The coin is in circulated condition, exhibiting wear to the higher relief areas of the obverse hair and reverse eagle feathers (photos 1 and 2). Small surface marks and scattered dark toning spots are present on both the obverse and reverse (photos 1 and 2).
