Description
A rare Bullmark prototype sofubi figure of the Demon Corps member, Darkman, from the television series Triple Fighter (Tsuburaya Productions, 1972).
This figure differs from the ultimately produced Darkman figure. This features a fuller shaped jaw as opposed to the produced figure's pointed jaw, and this features less creases in the neck. The eyes of this figure feature straight line slit pupils as opposed to the produced figure's thin diamond-shaped pupils. The white detailing on the collar, chest, and belt is also more rudimentary on this prototype. Copyright (Tsuburaya) and maker (Bullmark) information is carved underneath the proper left boot, and the word "Devil" is carved underneath the proper right boot.
Darkman is notable for being the first villain fought by the heroes of Triple Fighter in the premiere episode, "Go! Glorious Fighters."
