Two vintage cast brass heart-shaped padlocks featuring municipal and transit markings. One lock is stamped "BOARD OF EDUCATION" across the front face with a drop-key cover, and the second lock features a drop-key cover with an attached steel chain clevis. Included is a solid brass key stamped "CTA" (Chicago Transit Authority) on the bow. Both pieces exhibit characteristic mid-20th-century Chicago municipal hardware construction with heavy cast brass bodies and steel internal shackle assemblies. Physical condition is good with light surface wear, minor pitting, natural dark patina, and visible verdigris green oxidation around the shackle joints and internal recesses. H 4.5", W 3", D 0.75".
