About: Wallace Silversmiths traces to Robert Wallace, who began making flatware at Wallingford, Connecticut, in 1835, and the firm grew into one of the largest American manufacturers of sterling flatware. Alongside its flatware patterns Wallace produced sterling hollowware and barware, including cups and beakers, generally in plain, well-weighted forms that let the metal rather than the ornament carry the piece.
