About: Wallace Silversmiths traces to Robert Wallace, who began making flatware at Wallingford, Connecticut, in 1835, and the firm grew into one of the largest American manufacturers of sterling flatware. Rose Point, designed by William S. Warren and introduced in 1934, takes its name and its openwork, needlepoint-lace character from rose-point lace, with rose sprays worked into a pierced handle.
