Born in Jamaica, but settled in North Carolina. Hubert was a commercial fisherman and boat builder while in Jamaica and a carpenter while living in NY for a couple years. While in NC, Hubert worked at a textile mill. After leaving the textile mill, Hubert was able to devote more time to making his art which included using wood, metal, and found objects.
Excellent condition.
