Description: English figured mahogany tea caddy of rectangular form with subtly canted sides and a diamond-form lightwood escutcheon. The hinged lid has a red textile-lined interior and opens to two fitted tea compartments with removable mahogany lids and turned pulls. Fitted with brass hinges and lock plate. Key is not included.

Age-appropriate wear with scratches, rubbing, finish variation, and shrinkage cracks to the top. Scattered edge and veneer losses with wear at the lower corners. Escutcheon is chipped around the keyhole. Interior has staining, dark residue, oxidation, and losses to the original compartment lining. Red lid lining is faded, stained, and worn. Brass hardware is darkened. Both compartment lids are present. Lock is untested and key is absent.
