Dickens (Charles) Autograph letter signed ("Charles Dickens"), 1860

Dickens recommends his colleague Charles Adolphus Buchheim “I h[ereb]y to certify to my knowledge of Doctor Buchheim as a gentleman of attainments, and accustomed to infant instruction and information in German literature. I understand Dr Buchheim to be at present a candidate for a German Professorship in London, and I am happy to have the opportunity of highly recommending him. He read German with my daughters and I considered myself fortunate in having secured the services of so excellent master", one page, integral blank, some discolouration, mild folding marks, 8vo, Gad's Hill Place, 20 November 1860.
