Description:
A long Northwest Persian runner with a red field organized by repeating geometric hooked medallions and angular floral devices. Dark blue, green, cream, and muted gold accents appear throughout the field and multiple guard borders. The narrow proportions and durable wool pile are characteristic of runners made for halls and galleries. The design is cataloged broadly as Heriz-type rather than assigned to a specific village workshop.
