Description

The larger plane is impressed at the toe with a rectangular mark reading SARGENT above the initials V-B-M and the model number NO 3420. Both tools utilize cast iron lever caps decorated with a distinctive relief pattern of concentric circles. The bodies are constructed from hardwood, likely beech, with turned wooden front knobs and shaped rear totes. The mechanical components include cast iron frogs and lateral adjustment levers. The steel cutting irons are present and secured by the lever caps. Measurements: The larger plane measures approximately 22 inches in length.
