A 17th-Century Flemish Verdure Tapestry The woven landscape features two figures in classical Roman/military attire, one shown kneeling and holding a harp-like instrument. A distant tree-lined river landscape leads to a mountainous clearing. The lush borders feature six groupings of birds (mostly parrots), each flanking fruit-filled urns. Scattered throughout the border are a variety of flowers, garland swags and ribbons. 114 1/2 x 201 1/2 inches
