Victorian, 19th century. Steel horse chamfron with shaped face plate, raised central boss, and flared cheek sections. The form is made to cover the front of a horse?s head and face, with cut out arched opening below the center. The surface has been polished and shows hammering, age, and irregular shaping throughout.
