Description
Persian Qajar kard dagger, early 19th century, with a straight single edged steel blade and reinforced point. The hilt has a white grip, likely replaced in the twentieth or twenty first century to imitate ivory, a material commonly seen on other examples of this type. The dagger also features ornate metal mounts decorated with gold floral arabesque designs. Accompanied by a black velvet covered sheath with cord trim.
