This poster announced Hugh Masekela and Letta Mbulu's engagements at Both/And in San Francisco in the Winter of 1967. Often referred to as the Father of South African Jazz, Hugh Masekela was a genius composer as well as a talented trumpet, trombone, and flugelhorn player. During his long, successful career, he was nominated for a Grammy Award three times. This early handbill is from the same era his pop jazz hit Up Up and Away was released.
