Impressive pair of early 19th century American brass and wrought iron andirons, each featuring a large covered urn-form finial with ball terminal above an elaborately segmented standard with ring-turned, bulbous, and faceted elements. The bold architectural forms and aged brass surfaces give the pair a handsome period presence. Each measures approximately 23 1/2 in. H x 14 in. W x 21 in. D. Some wear to the finish consistent with age and use.
