Description

This charming grouping of handcrafted split-oak country gathering baskets features traditional woven construction and sturdy fixed arched handles. The larger two-tone basket showcases contrasting natural splint coloration with a reinforced wrapped rim, signed V. Able on the base, and measures approximately 11 1/2 in. H x 14 in. W x 7 7/8 in. D overall. The smaller companion basket displays a tighter weave and is signed and dated RJN 1989 on the underside. Both are offered in good condition, preserving warm natural patinas and solid structural integrity, with minimal surface wear.
