Description
19th-century salt-glazed stoneware utility vessel was produced by the New York Stoneware Co. of Fort Edward, New York, featuring an applied handle extending directly from the collar to the shoulder. The robust form is enhanced by a textured salt-glazed surface, stamped maker's information, and vibrant cobalt-blue brushwork depicting a stylized vegetal motif. It measures approximately 12 in. H x 7 in. in diameter overall. It is offered with some hairline cracks and abrasions to upper lip.
