Description

Fine carved canvasback decoy, possibly of Maryland origin, featuring a traditionally shaped wooden body with a wonderfully time-worn polychrome surface and aged patina. The simple working form and naturally worn appearance give the piece strong sporting and folk art character. Measures approximately 8 in. H x 16 in. L x 6 in. D. Some loss to the painted surface consistent with age and use.
