19th century primitive yellow pine chest, featuring a simple rectangular case raised on tapered legs and retaining an old painted surface with a wonderfully worn and aged patina. The straightforward construction and weathered finish give the piece strong early country character. Measures approximately 27 in. H x 27 in. W x 16 in. D. Wear and loss to the painted finish with some losses to the wood; top is loose and requires hinges.
