Fine decorative Asian artistic sculpture depicts a traditional ornamental bonsai tree, featuring intricately wired branches bearing delicate leafy foliage and blossoms meticulously carved from various natural tonalities of jade and contrasting hardstones. The botanical arrangement is securely potted within a heavy brass-bound cloisonne vessel adorned with vibrant enameled floral motifs. It measures approximately 18 1/2 in. H x 12 in. in diameter overall. It is offered with some areas of loss and surface wear consistent with age and careful display.
