Impressive large-scale four-handled jar by master potter Stephen Ferrell, featuring an unglazed surface with a wonderfully weathered exterior and areas of naturally occurring green moss, giving the vessel a striking sculptural presence. The substantial form is fitted with four applied handles and is signed “Ferrell” beneath one handle. Measures approximately 25 1/2 in. H x 19 in. diameter. Some loss to one handle, scattered chips to the body, and a hairline crack to the upper body of the vessel.
