Description
Large-scale studio art pottery vessel, created in 2004 by the notable Furman University art professor and prominent Greenville art community figure Bob Chance, draws heavy aesthetic inspiration from traditional Japanese and Korean storage jars, as well as historical Etruscan, early Roman, and Minoan pottery forms. The impressive stoneware Big Round III rounded jar features rich glaze variations in predominantly warm sienna tones, enhanced by expressive abstract blue linework and intricate sgraffito decoration. It measures approximately 14 in. H x 13 in. in diameter overall, offering a substantial exhibition presence. It is offered in good condition.
