Handsome Waterfield swan decoy, circa 1930s, featuring traditional canvas-and-wire body construction with a finely carved and shaped wooden neck and head. Presented on a display stand, the substantial form and wonderfully aged surface give the piece strong sporting and folk art character. Measures approximately 20 in. H x 23 in. L x 10 in. D. Some loss to the painted finish consistent with age and use.
