Description
Regional stoneware utility vessel is executed in a traditional multi-tier stacker jug form, featuring a classic two-tone glazed surface with a textured salt-glaze on the lower half transitioning to a rich, glossy dark brown Albany slip glaze across the upper shoulder and neck, complemented by applied structural side handles. The heavy-bodied ceramic highlights 19th-century American utilitarian pottery production and traditional regional stoneware manufacturing. It measures approximately 14 3/4 in. H x 8 in. in diameter overall. It is offered with some wear, abrasions, and hairline cracks consistent with age.
