Description
Exquisite French Art Nouveau 1889 mantel clock features carved jade top and lower mounts, supported by structural pillars formed in vibrant, multicolored cloisonne enamel work showcasing intricate floral and geometric motifs. Marked as French and made in 1889 and winner of the silver medal at the Paris World's Fair. It is by the notable maker Marti et Cie. It measures approximately 14 1/4 in. H x 10 in. W x 5/8 in. D overall, with condition disclosures including that it is currently not in working order and requires careful professional maintenance, alongside the important notation that the movement contains mercury, consistent with antique horological instruments.
