A monumental 3.62-carat oval ruby commands the center of this platinum cocktail ring, elevated by a tiered halo combining concentric rows of round brilliants with an outer sunburst fringe of tapered baguettes. The tapered baguettes are individually cut to fan outward — a setting job that appears only in workshops willing to spend the labor. At one inch across the top and 13.6 grams of platinum, this is high-jewelry scale.
