An African iron folded piece of spade currency and a group of twelve African beaded basketry

Spade currency piece made in the shape of the farming tool, but used as a type of currency, not for doing farm work. This type of currency is commonly associated with northeastern Nigeria and the borderlands of Cameroon, though similar currency exists in other parts of Africa. This type of piece was frequently used for bridewealth. Also includes twelve African beadwork pieces. (13).
