Details:

Pair of memorial pamphlets titled Ralph Waldo Emerson: A Discourse in West Church by C. A. Bartol. Published in Boston by A. Williams & Co. in 1882, the pamphlets contain Bartol's memorial discourse delivered following the death of Ralph Waldo Emerson earlier that year. Included are two examples in variant printed wrappers, one tan and one blue, both bearing the presentation stamp of Dr. Samuel A. Green of Boston on the front cover.

Overall good condition with expected age toning, light foxing, handling wear, and minor edge wear. The blue wrapper example exhibits scattered soiling and small corner losses to the wrapper, while the tan wrapper example shows light creasing and age toning. Both pamphlets retain their original wrappers and are complete.
